Indigenous Empowerment Fashion Collective

Hinauri serves as the Secretary and Youth Representative on the board of the Indigenous Empowerment Fashion Collective. She plays a key role in amplifying Indigenous voices in the fashion industry.

A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Hinauri brings extensive experience to the collective, including her work as a model coach for Toronto Kids Fashion Week (TKFW) and her role as Secretary and Head Model Coach for the collective.

Hinauri is the founder of Nehua Designs, a fashion brand that beautifully blends her Māori and Korean heritage, and Truth with Action, a platform dedicated to advancing Truth and Reconciliation across Canada.

Her impact extends further into the fashion world and beyond. Hinauri recently won the Miss Queen Alberta 2025 pageant and has been featured as a model in Vogue, Elle Magazine, and Complex Canada, among others. She is also a multi-award-winning advocate for diversity, inclusion, and Truth and Reconciliation. Furthering her commitment to Indigenous empowerment, she launched the first-ever Global Indigenous Dialogue, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at uplifting Indigenous voices worldwide.

As a dedicated youth leader and community worker, Hinauri is committed to empowering Indigenous youth and driving meaningful change. Through her leadership, fashion expertise, and unwavering advocacy for urban Indigenous communities, she is shaping a future where Indigenous talent is not only recognized but celebrated.
